I literally had this idea just as I was cleaning my kitchen/living room space and ruminating on the guilt for not putting a little more effort and structure into blogging this year.
To give myself some grace, I do have a bunch of drafts just sitting in my draft folder. They’re either outlines of blog post ideas or incomplete drafts. So…it’s not like I haven’t been trying. But I know I could do more. I know part of it is fear of putting out “not good” work; the fear of being messy in the process and putting it out for the internet to see. Internet part aside (or debatable, because vulnerability is dope), getting messy is part of any process. For anything. If you want to get better at something, you just have to get your hands dirty.
The Challenge: Write and publish a blog post, about anything I want, minimum 100 words, every day in the month of September. Why 100? It’s low enough that it’s not intimidating, but it’s enough to force me to write something substantial-ish. Without this word count, I can totally see myself writing one-sentence posts and calling it a day. Which…there is nothing wrong with that. It’s just something I am holding myself up to.
Anyway, this summer was truly beautiful and I am sad that it is coming to an end. It really does feel like yesterday when the Knicks won the NBA Finals and I was getting things ready for Evo. And overall, 2026 has been pretty kind to me compared to previous years. I’m sad that we’re already approaching Q4.
